A LOCAL SERVICE OF YOUR CHOICE

If your team has an organization, charity, or service in mind, by all means donate to them. We just ask that you please consider the goal of this swim—that is, to promote racial diversity, equity, and equality within aquatics sports. Examples of such services are even as minimal as community pools, which provide a place to learn how to swim for everyone. Other places that reinforce these ideals may be water safety courses, local swim clinics, and Boys and Girls Clubs. Every donation counts!

A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION

Here are three national organizations  (both nonprofits) that we think promote our goals of diversifying aquatic sports!

The Racial Equity and Reform task force aims to address four main issues in the water polo community. First, ensure a zero tolerance policy for racism and bias in USAWP processes and events. Second, increase the access and participation of water polo, especially among communities of color. Third, provide and promote education to ensure respect, dignity, and fairness among the water polo community. Lastly, expand resources for the promotion of tolerance and accessibility within the sport.
